Kerry & Julian’s Elegant Autumn Wedding at Tlaquepaque

There are certain weddings in Sedona that feel like they unfold inside a dream — where the light is soft, the setting is artful, and every moment flows with meaning. Kerry and Julian’s wedding at Tlaquepaque in November was exactly that kind of day.

Set in the heart of Sedona’s historic arts district, their celebration blended timeless architecture, warm autumn color, and heartfelt simplicity. From the first look beneath ivy-covered arches to the candlelit terrace reception at dusk, their wedding was intimate, romantic, and filled with connection.

A Ceremony Rich in Emotion

The ceremony took place inside the iconic Tlaquepaque chapel — a space known for its historic charm, glowing adobe walls, and air of peaceful reverence. Kerry walked down the aisle surrounded by soft florals and warm candlelight, and the moment she reached Julian, the whole energy in the room shifted — calm, grounded, and incredibly heartfelt.

Their vows were personal and sincere, spoken softly yet clearly, with just enough emotion to blur a few eyes throughout the room.

Golden Hour Portraits in the Courtyard

After the ceremony, we stepped into the courtyards of Tlaquepaque — one of my favorite photography locations in Sedona. As the late-afternoon sun filtered through climbing vines and textured archways, we were surrounded by the perfect combination of soft light and architectural beauty.

The November timing offered gorgeous natural tones: warm sandstone, deep greens, and hints of fall foliage. Kerry’s dress moved beautifully with every step, and Julian couldn’t stop smiling — the kind of candid joy that makes documenting these moments effortless.

A Candlelit Reception at Dusk

As twilight settled in, guests gathered on the terrace for an outdoor reception that felt straight out of an old-world European evening. A long table with soft amber candlelight, and delicate string lights overhead made the atmosphere feel warm, intimate, and wildly romantic.

Laughter carried across the courtyard as dinner was shared, toasts were spoken, and the evening naturally transitioned into dancing under the Sedona night sky.

There’s something magical about Sedona after sunset — the rhythm slows, the air cools, and the world feels suspended in calm. Kerry and Julian embraced that energy fully, soaking in every minute.

A Day Meant to Be Remembered

From the details to the connection to the setting itself, this was a wedding that perfectly reflected who they are — soulful, elegant, and deeply in love.

Kerry and Julian, thank you for trusting me to document this incredible moment in your story. Your day was effortless to photograph because it was rooted in meaning, presence, and joy.

Wishing you both a lifetime filled with the same quiet magic you shared that night under the candles and stars.
